A Weather Alert Day is issued for Saturday and Sunday as freezing temperatures settle in.
You may have felt a quick chill in the air, said meteorologist George Waldenberger. If you did, it’s because temperatures began cooling off after a front moved into Central Florida earlier Friday.
The front will clear Brevard County later in the afternoon.
Here’s a summary of the night’s winter weather alerts as of Friday afternoon.
All Central Florida areas are under a wind chill advisory Friday night and Saturday morning. Wind chills in the ‘teens are expected.
Marion, Sumter and Flagler Counties are under a hard freeze warning (colder than 28°) Friday night and Saturday morning.
Tonight: Hard freeze warning (<28°) Marion, Sumter, Flagler Counties - Freeze warning (<32°) for most of the rest of Central Florida. Southern Brevard beaches for now left out of the freeze warning...still close to freezing though. pic.twitter.com/pc18lzd8DQ
