ORLANDO, Fla. — Scattered showers and thunderstorms are rolling through Central Florida on Thursday.
The storms and spotty showers are forecast to continue throughout the afternoon and evening with a 50% chance of rain.

Channel 9 meteorologist Tom Terry said afternoon seabreeze storms are quickly pushing toward the east coast this afternoon with wind gusting over 40 mph and lots of lightning.
A band of storms caused a severe thunderstorm warning for southern Lake County and southwest Orange County, which expired at 1:30 p.m.
Daytime highs will climb into the upper 80s.
