Tropical Storm Nicholas continues to strengthen as it moves up the Texas coast Monday, and it could become a hurricane before making landfall.

Storm surges of 3-5 feet and rainfall of 10-15 inches are possible, leading to flash and urban flooding, especially in the Houston metro area.

We continue to monitor three other areas of interest in the tropics. None are expected to impact Central Florida at this time.
