Tropical Storm Epsilon has strengthened into a hurricane, but it is expected to stay in open waters.
This marks the 10th hurricane of the season. Only four other seasons have had 10 hurricanes since we started using satellites: 1969, 1995, 2005 and 2017.

Tropical Storm Epsilon is continuing to slowly strengthen in the Atlantic.
Channel 9 meteorologist Rusty McCranie said the storm may develop into a hurricane, but it should miss Bermuda and remain in open waters, proving no threat to any land.

As of the 11 a.m. advisory, the storm has winds of 50 mph. Bermuda is currently under a tropical storm watch due to the storm.
While the storm is nowhere near Florida, McCranie said it could kick up surf and sea conditions along the peninsula in the next few days.
