ORLANDO, Fla. — After a quiet week in the tropics, a few disturbances near Central America are showing signs of development this week.

At this point, only one disturbance looks to be developing in either the western Caribbean or southern Gulf of Mexico.
The other two show signs of potential development on the Pacific side of Mexico.

Channel 9 will continue to monitor the systems for potential development later this week and this upcoming weekend in Nicaragua, Honduras and Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula.

For now, there are no threats to Florida.
