ORLANDO, Fla. — Tropical Depression Twenty-Nine has gained strength and officially formed into Tropical Storm Eta.
Eta’s latest forecast track shows it heading towards Central America.
This makes 28 named Atlantic Basin storms this season, tying 2005 for the most in one season.

This system will get the name Eta once it becomes a tropical storm or hurricane. If that happens, we will tie 2005 for most named storms in one season.
