ORLANDO, Fla. — Tropical Storm Danielle formed Thursday in the north Atlantic.

The National Hurricane Center confirmed Thursday that Tropical Storm Danielle has formed.

The system is far from Florida and is not forecast to impact the state.
Danielle is the fourth named storm of the season and is forecast to become a hurricane this week.

The National Hurricane Center said TD5 is expected to become a tropical storm and eventually a hurricane over the next few days.

If the system reaches tropical storm strength it will be named Danielle.
There are a few other tropical disturbances in the Atlantic, including off the coast of Africa, that may form this week.
TD5 is forecast to stay away from Florida as it drifts to the northeast Atlantic over the next few days.
