ORLANDO, Fla — Late last night, Tropical Storm Earl developed just east of the Leeward islands, while Danielle was downgraded to a Tropical Storm.
The Northern Leeward Islands, The Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico should monitor this storm through the weekend.

This system is expected to curve north back into the Atlantic by the middle of next week, keeping it from being a threat to Central Florida.
Overnight, Danielle weakened to a tropical storm and has remained stationary, according to the National Hurricane Center.
Experts anticipate Tropic Storm Danielle will strengthen over the next couple of days as it remains in the Atlantic Ocean, away from any land impacts.
