ORLANDO, Fla. — Tropical Storm Danny has weakened to a Tropical Depression after it formed Monday afternoon off the South Carolina coast.
According to the National Hurricane Center, heavy rain continues over portions of Georgia and South Carolina.
Channel 9 meteorologist George Waldenberger said the system had winds of 45 mph as of 5 p.m.

Danny is expected to move inland through Georgia and South Carolina on Monday night.
Waldenberger said it will have no impact on Central Florida.
This is the fifth time that there have been three named systems to form in the Atlantic Basin by June.
A few inches of rain are possible along the immediate coasts of Georgia and southern South Carolina through tonight, weather officials said.

Meteorologists are also monitoring a system that is producing a small cluster of showers and thunderstorms over the eastern tropical Atlantic Ocean.
They said some slow development is possible through the end of the week.
The system is likely to reach the Lesser Antilles late Wednesday or Wednesday night.

It has a 20% chance at developing further over the next two days and a 30% chance at developing over the next five days.
