Better organized tropical wave enters the Caribbean, could become the next named system

A tropical wave has become better organized and it now has a high chance to become a tropical depression or tropical storm by this weekend or early next week.

The tropical disturbance will continue to move to the west and conditions are becoming more favorable for it to develop.

The next name on the list is Eta.

If named, this would be the 28th named system of the 2020 hurricane season. It would tie the record for the most named storms, established in 2005.
