ORLANDO, Fla. — Update:
A broad low-pressure system is trying to form by late weekend near southeast Bahamas, and rain and gusty onshore winds return late weekend into next week, Channel 9 Certified Chief Meteorologist Tom Terry said.
Terry said he’s not expecting an organized storm near Florida, but a hybrid tropical/non-tropical system may form with some unwelcome areas of heavy rain possible.
Gusty winds will bring some minor beach erosion as well by the weekend into next week.
As for the other storms, Terry said Martin is no longer tropical, and Lisa is a depression over Mexico.

If the storm system develops, it will be named Nicole.
As of Thursday morning, most indications are that the system would be a large rainmaker.
We'll be watching a broad area over the SW Atlantic into next week. This system starts disorganized, but environmental conditions could support development early next week as it generally moves NW. This could bring potential impacts to Florida. We'll keep you updated. pic.twitter.com/Mm79ezUELu

As of now, the rain chance goes up significantly from Tuesday into Wednesday next week.
Elsewhere in the tropics, Lisa continues to weaken but is bringing heavy rains to portions of Mexico. Lisa will move into the southwest Gulf, where strong shear is expected to tear apart what is left of the system.
Hurricane Martin is a Category 1 storm but is already beginning its transition into becoming an extratropical cyclone. The storm is moving northeast at 48 mph. It is forecast to slow down and turn towards the British Isles.
Channel 9 will continue to monitor the tropics and share the latest information on Eyewitness News.
