ORLANDO, Fla. — Sunday saw many areas across Central Florida reach nearly 80 degrees. However, our next cold front is already approaching. As the front passes scattered storms will develop, followed by much colder air moving in by morning.

Through sunset, weather will be warm and breezy. Sunday evening a few spotty showers will be possible, mainly northwest of I-4. As we approach midnight, watch for a line of storms to move into Marion County.

Scattered downpours, lightning and thunder will all be possible as this line passes, reaching the Orlando metro area around 3:00 a.m. By 6:00 a.m. lingering rain over Brevard County will be in the process of moving off. The front will clear Central Florida early in the morning, and it’ll feel much colder and windy throughout the day on Monday.

By Tuesday and Wednesday mornings the cold really settles in, with temperatures dropping down to the 30s and 40s. Those cold temps will last about three days, then we’ll warm back up to nearly 80 degrees by Friday.
