ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Rolling roadblocks on State Road 408 could slow down drivers this weekend.
The rolling roadblocks are scheduled between midnight and 5 a.m. Saturday and Sunday from Good Holmes Road to Interstate 4, a spokesperson with the Florida Department of Transportation said.
The construction will close the eastbound Interstate 4 ramp to South Street. A detour map has been posted here.
The roadblocks will allow crews to place girders near eastbound Interstate 4 to widen the State Road 408 overpass, officials said.
Eight eastbound State Road 408 entrance ramps will be temporarily closed during the roadblocks, officials said.
The construction is part of the I-4 Ultimate project that is rebuilding 24 miles of Interstate 4 from west of Kirkman Road in Orange County to east of State Road 434 in Seminole County. Two express lanes will be added in both directions.
