ORLANDO, Fla. -- The UCF football team officially opened spring practice on Monday morning ahead of their move to the Big 12 on July 1.
The Knights begin spring ball with two new coordinators. Darin Hinshaw is UCF’s new offensive coordinator and Addison Williams is their new defensive coordinator. That duo along with head coach Gus Malzahn are setting a foundation this spring to make sure they are competitive in the Big 12 next season.
John Rhys Plumlee is QB1 entering the spring, but has a number of talented quarterbacks behind him that will push him throughout the year.

UCF moves into the Big 12 coming off a 2021 Gasparilla Bowl victory over Florida plus berths in the AAC Championship Game and Military Bowl in 2022.
