ORLANDO, Fla. -- UCF men’s basketball head coach Johnny Dawkins is set to begin his seventh season as head coach of the Knights.

UCF finished 18-12, 9-9 in the American Athletic Conference last season and they are getting ready to play their final season in the AAC before moving to the Big 12.

The Knights lose four of their top five scorers from a season ago, but they add a number of impact transfers, including UMass guard C.J. Kelly. The Knights also add four-star freshman forward Taylor Hendricks from Calvary Christian Academy in Fort Lauderdale.

Point guard Darius Johnson says he hopes to make one final splash in the American before joining the Big 12 in July of 2023.
