ORLANDO, Fla. — Several local athletes are ready to hear their name called during the 2020 NFL Draft in hopes of making an impact on the professional level.
The draft was originally scheduled for Las Vegas, but will now be completely virtual due to the coronavirus pandemic. Picks will be announced by Commissioner Roger Goodell from inside his basement.
Leading the way for the Central Florida batch of prospects is wide receiver Gabe Davis.

Davis brings a promising college production in the endzone to prospective teams, reeling in 23 touchdowns during his college career.
The 6 foot, 3 inch Sanford native is projected by draft experts to be selected in the second or third round in a historically deep draft at the position. Scouts seem to be excited about the big-bodied Davis and Davis even trained with UCF legend Brandon Marshall during a special for the NFL Network.
Davis’ teammate, cornerback Nevelle Clarke, could also hear his name called during the later rounds of the draft. The senior notched 5 interceptions over his career at UCF.
According to NFL.com, the Miami native was a top performer at several drills during the Scouting Combine.

Another interesting name out of UCF to keep an eye on in the later rounds is speedy running back Adrian Killins Jr. His path to the draft will be a bit more difficult than his teammates, as he did not receive an invite to the Scouting Combine.
While the Daytona Beach native never eclipsed over 1,000 yards rushing in a season during his collegiate career, he was able to find the endzone 33 times.
