Four central Florida high school products were selected on the first day of the Major League Baseball Draft Monday night.
Florida Gators left handed pitcher Brian Johnson, who graduated from Cocoa Beach High School, was the first to go, drafted 31st by the Boston Red Sox.
Hagerty pitcher Zach Eflin went two picks later with the 33rd selection to the San Diego Padres.
Later in the compensatory round, two Olympia players heard their names called, with outfielder Jesse Winker picked 49th overall by the Cincinnati Reds then pitcher Walker Weickel going to the Padres with the 55th pick.
