9 things to know: UCF football Game Day

ORLANDO, Fla. — University of Central Florida football fans will be out in force Thursday for the team’s home opener.

Here are 9 things that college football fans should know before they head out for the big game:

• 1) Arrive early

The game starts at 7 p.m., but UCF Athletics encourages all fans to arrive early at FBC Mortgage Stadium.

• 2) Park in the right place

Parking passes are available through the UCF Gameday app or online at www.UCFKnights.com/Login.

Fans who drive to campus on game days can park in a variety of garages and parking lots.

The Gold Zone area of campus requires game day Gold Zone parking permits. Parking is available in Garage H for a minimum $20 donation (cash or credit card) in support of student scholarships.

In many other areas of campus, fans can park for free.

• 3) March to victory

Ninety minutes before kickoff, attendees can join Pegasus, Knightro, the Marching Knights and the UCF spirit teams in Knights Plaza for the fan march to the stadium.

• 4) Bring the right bag

Clear storage and tote bags, pocketless seat cushions, and small purses or clutches will be the only bags allowed to be brought in by fans.

• 5) Digital tickets to save time

UCF Athletics has fully adopted digital ticketing for the 2022 season. Fans are encouraged to log in and save tickets to their mobile device prior to arriving on campus to avoid connectivity issues on game day.

• 6) Show your UCF pride with official merchandise

There will be four merchandise locations at the stadium and at the Barnes & Noble bookstore on campus.

• 7) Stay hydrated

Water stations will be located in the Frank Gay Cool Zones and Gate 9 on the concourse level.

Personal water bottles and drinking containers are permitted and fans are encouraged to bring these items to rehydrate.

• 8) New concessions

More points of sale have been added throughout the stadium to allow fans quicker access to concessions. Fans can enjoy hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, loaded pretzel bites and more.

• 9) First aid is available

The stadium’s first-aid facility is located in the northeast corner of the stadium on the main concourse adjacent to Gate 10. An additional first-aid station is located on the main concourse across from Gate 18 (behind Section 106).
