GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — In-state rivals Florida State and Florida already played three times this season, with the Seminoles winning twice. Their next series has considerably more at stake. The Seminoles (44-19) and Gators (47-16) begin a best-of-three Super Regional on Friday night in Gainesville, with the winner advancing to the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska. Game 2 is scheduled for Saturday. If necessary, the finale would be Sunday. Florida coach Kevin O'Sullivan says "we've got good mojo going right now." The Southeastern Conference tournament champions have won seven in a row and been fairly dominant during their streak. Although the Seminoles limped into the postseason with five straight losses, they have bounced back in a big way. FSU cruised through the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament and then swept three home games in NCAA regional play.
