ORLANDO, Fla. — The oppressive heat continues in Central Florida.

Holiday activities are in full swing, which means plenty of people are heading outdoors for fun and fireworks.
Heat safety experts said it could prove dangerous if people don’t take precautions.

So they’re looking to share an important message.
On Monday, Orange County Fire Rescue reminded residents to take steps to help prevent heat-related illness and said the soaring temperatures can even be deadly.
Officials discussed ways to prepare for extreme heat in order to keep yourself and your loved ones safe during these scorching summer months.

They also talked about how to recognize warning signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
