The children played their final game against each other Friday at Buena Vista Lakes ball fields in Kissimmee.
Deputies and professional players volunteered their time to train at the free baseball camp over the summer.
Sheriff Marcos Lopez said he started this program to give children opportunities outside school and deputies to connect with them.

“What a better way to have these kids at a young age interacting with us and making sure they’re getting that quality time and mentorship,” he said.
The sheriff and Jose Salas of the Atlanta Braves gave awards and certificates to everyone in the camp.
Lopez said the sheriff’s office will host flag football and kickboxing camps.
