SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — A busy segment of State Road 436 from Howell Branch Road to the Orange County line in Casselberry is scheduled for roadway and possible pedestrian safety improvements from the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and the City of Casselberry.

The project’s main purpose is to repave a large roadway segment to maintain a safe and reliable surface for drivers.
The City of Casselberry has requested some additional pedestrian safety measures and is working with the department on an agreement to fund those improvements.

The community is invited to learn more about the planned work at a project open house on Tuesday, Jan. 7, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Winter Park Elks Lodge, 4755 Howell Branch Road, Winter Park, FL 32792.
The city says the open house is for the community to learn about the project plans and provide any feedback they may have.

To provide additional flexibility for stakeholders, the FDOT is also offering online opportunities to get involved:
- Join an online webinar at 5:30 pm to watch the project presentation and submit written questions. You can attend this option by registering HERE.
- Click here for the project website. Visitors to the page may watch the project presentation, view project exhibits, and submit comments and questions directly to the project manager.
Project materials will be available beginning Jan. 7 and will be the same as those shared at the in-person open house.
While the information will remain on the website throughout the project, please provide comments or questions by Jan. 17 to have the comments included in the open house record.
