DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Daytona Beach police are investigating a shooting that left a 16-year-old boy dead Wednesday night.

It happened just before 10 p.m. in the 400 block of Hudson St., just to the south of the Bethune-Cookman University campus.

Officers arrived on scene and found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to Halifax Health Medical Center and died there.
The shooter was only described as a person wearing all black and traveling on foot.
