ORLANDO, Fla. — Central Florida and other stargazers around the world (if it was a clear night) were treated to a beautiful full moon this past weekend.
February’s full moon is known as the “snow moon”, and although we do not have any snow in Central Florida, evenings were nice and clear; perfect for a night out to watch the moon.
The full moon phase was reached early Sunday morning. Early on Monday the moon reached the closest point to Earth in its orbit, this is known as perigee, also makes the moon look as if it were larger than average.
