WASHINGTON — One person has died and seven people are recovering from injuries after a car and a Metrobus collided overnight in Washington, D.C., authorities said.
According to WUSA and WJLA, the head-on collision occurred about midnight near Minnesota Avenue Northeast and Benning Road Northeast. The car’s driver, a man, died at the scene, Metropolitan police told WUSA. Seven people aboard the bus also were hurt but are expected to recover, police said.
