NEW YORK — A little boy has gotten a lot of attention online after he apparently found his twin in a Disney movie.
Kenzo Brooks’ parents posted photos of him on Instagram, showing the little boy next to a television screen showing Antonio, a character from Disney’s movie, “Encanto.”
His parents spoke to WABC, saying their son was immediately entranced with the character. “I truly believe that he thought it was him. He just kept staring at the screen and looking back at us and smiling,” Kaheisha Brooks told WABC.
The photos of Kenzo, who appears thrilled to have found his “twin” in Antonio, include the hashtag “#representationmatters.” “He was able to see someone that looks like him. I know growing up for me that wasn’t necessarily often something you see. For me, it did make me feel a little bit emotional to think that my son was able to see this and have this experience,” Keith Brooks told WABC.
The family appeared on Good Morning America, where they were surprised with a free three-night trip to Walt Disney World.
