SAN ANTONIO — A Texas woman was arrested Sunday after she set a bible on fire in her backyard and the flames caused her home to burn, investigators said.
San Antonio Fire Department was called to a fire at 7:30 a.m. after a duplex caught on fire, KABB reported.
Witnesses said a woman burned a bible, sparking the fire that engulfed two homes. The fire caused an estimated $150,000 in damage.
No one was injured. One of the residents lost all their medication in the fire and their five dogs were taken to an animal shelter while they find a temporary place to live.
Police took the woman, who has not been identified, into custody. Charges have not yet been filed.
