BRADBURY, Calif. — A fast-acting teen helped save her family’s dogs after a bear was perched on a backyard wall.
The video, which has been shared on TikTok and has more than 7 million views, was apparently recorded Monday at a home in Bradbury, California, KNBC reported.
It all started when the bear and her two cubs were walking on a backyard wall, and the family’s four dogs noticed the animals and started barking.
The cubs went behind a tree, but the mother bear tried to hit some of the dogs with her paw.
Hailey Morinico, 17, ran in and shoved the bear from the wall, saving her family’s pets and even carrying one away from the commotion, KABC reported.
The bear popped its head over the wall before it ran away, KNBC reported.
Morinico had a scratch, but neither she nor the dogs were severely injured, KABC reported.
