According to the Fort Lauderdale Police Department, a package addressed to Hill was stopped by UPS security, the Sun-Sentinel reported.
Upon inspection, the parcel contained 141 grams of fentanyl, a painkiller that poses a high risk of addiction, the newspaper reported.
Undercover detectives hand-delivered the package to Hill, who accepted it, WFOR reported.
About 45 minutes later, a SWAT team arrived at Hill’s residence and served a search warrant, the Sun-Sentinel reported.
SWAT team members found the narcotics inside a tin box, along with other drugs that were wrapped in plastic “and prepared for individual sales,” according to a police report.
According to police, Hill is a convicted felon. A gun found inside his residence had been reported stolen from Hialeah, the Sun-Sentinel reported.
