Toyota is adding 1.52 million vehicles to a recall that was initially issued in January.
The company announced that some Lexus and Toyota models made between July 2017 and September 2020 have been recalled due to an issue with a fuel pump.
The total number of vehicles impacted by the recall is about 3.34 million.
The fuel pump could stop working, causing the engine to run roughly or even to stall.
If the vehicle stalls, it may not be able to be restarted.
Dealers will replace the fuel pump in affected vehicles. Owners of cars added to the recall after April 9 will be notified by late December.
