Dole and the Food and Drug Administration have announced a recall of blueberries due to potential parasite contamination.
The FDA said that the recalled fruit could be contaminated with cyclospora, which could cause cyclosporiasis. The condition is an intestinal infection that could cause severe abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, body aches and fatigue.
It is treated with antibiotics.

No illnesses have been reported in connection with the recall.
The fruit was distributed in Illinois, Maine, New York and Wisconsin, as well as Alberta and British Columbia.
Only the blueberries with the exact UPC and lot numbers listed above are affected.
If you have the recalled blueberries, you’re advised to throw them out and not eat them.
