As Queen Elizabeth II was laid to rest in England on Monday, hundreds of the famous and some who are less well known attended the service in Westminster Abbey.
Heads of state, leaders of the Commonwealth of Nations, members of the royal families of other countries and presidents and prime ministers gathered in Westminster Abbey to celebrate Elizabeth’s life.
Here are some of the people who attended the service:
The royal family
The queen’s four children – King Charles III, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward – along with their spouses were at the service.
The Duke of York’s ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, was also expected to attend.
The queen’s eight grandchildren – Prince William, Prince Harry, Peter Phillips, Zara Tindall, Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, Lady Louise Windsor and James, Viscount Severn – were also at the service.
Spouses of her grandchildren, including Catherine, the Princess of Wales and Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, were in attendance, as were two of the children of the Prince and Princess of Wales, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
Elizabeth’s cousins, the Duke of Kent, Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, Princess Alexandra and Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester, were also at the ceremony.

Special guests
Seventeen of the 23 recipients of the Victoria Cross and George Cross will attend the service, including one from New Zealand and four from Australia, according to The Telegraph.
Seven will be involved in the Procession of the Orders of Chivalry.
New Zealand’s delegation will include Kiingi Tuheitia, a Maori king, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, the celebrated soprano, and young entrepreneur Jacqueline Gilbert.
Chris Waller, an Australian horse trainer who looked after many of the Queen’s horses, was invited to attend.
Actress Sandra Oh was a member of Canada’s delegation. She took part in a procession of recipients of national honors.
Others
More than 180 members of the public who were chosen for their public service were invited.
Those not invited
Buckingham Palace did not send invitations to the governments of Russia, Belarus and Myanmar. Neither were representatives of Venezuela, Syria or Afghanistan invited.
Former Presidents Donald Trump, Barack Obama, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter have been invited to “a Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II,” at the National Cathedral on Wednesday.
