SPARTANBURG, S.C. — A runaway pony caused quite the calamity in South Carolina on Saturday.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the pony trotted down Interstate 85 in Spartanburg County, resulting in a seven-car pileup at 11:55 a.m., WHNS reported.
According to troopers, the pony was running down the highway on the northbound side.
Troopers also confirmed to WYFF that one person suffered minor injuries in the chain-reaction crash.
Meanwhile, officials with Spartanburg County Animal Control confirmed to the TV station that they were initially called by troopers to the scene but were then informed that the pony’s owner had arrived.
