AUGUSTA, Maine — A truck driver hauling Pop-Tarts and Cheez-Its was high on methamphetamine when he crashed the tractor-trailer Friday morning, investigators said.
Maine State Police said Miles McIntyre, 61, went off the road, hit the rock ledges and rolled over around 8 a.m. blocking the right lane on Interstate 95, WMTW reported.
McIntyre was taken to a hospital for treatment. He was later arrested and charged with operating under the influence of drugs, driving to endanger and unlawful possession of methamphetamine.
The highway was closed in both directions for nearly an hour.
