Police: Former NFL player Greg Robinson arrested with more than $120,000 worth of drugs

THIBODAUX, La. — Greg Robinson, a former NFL player, was arrested by Thibodaux police in Louisiana after a traffic stop led investigators to discover drugs in the car.

In a news release, Thibodaux police said they conducted a traffic stop for a violation while Robinson was behind the wheel. A police K-9 alerted to the smell of drugs, which led officers to search the car. Investigators said inside the car they found hundreds of doses of pharmaceutical pills, as well as:

· Approximately 3.6 lbs of suspected crystal methamphetamine

· Approximately 2.22 lbs of suspected cocaine

· Approximately 38.89 lbs of suspected marijuana.

Police said the total value of the seized drugs added up to approximately $120,810.

Robinson is facing multiple drug charges, including possession with intent to distribute cocaine, hydrocodone, marijuana, Xanax and methamphetamine, WDSU reported.

Robinson, who was born in Thibodaux, played football at Auburn before going on to play for the (then) St. Louis Rams, the Detroit Lions, and the Cleveland Browns.

Greg Robinson was previously arrested on drug charges in 2020, when he was accused of having more than 150 pounds of marijuana near the U.S./Mexico border, WWL-TV reported.

Robinson was booked into jail, where he was placed on a $315,000 bond, according to police.
