Leave it to Peppa Pig to steal the bacon from Adele.
During an Instagram Live on Oct. 9, Adele previewed her new single, “Easy on Me,” Billboard reported. When the 33-year-old British singing star took questions during her live stream, she was asked whether she would collaborate with Peppa Pig, the beloved television cartoon character.
Adele firmly rejected that idea, giving a firm “No.”
Peppa got in the last word, though.
While Adele was doing a Zoom interview on London’s Capital FM radio station on Thursday, the piglet “joined” the call and interrupted with a question.
“Hello Adele,” Peppa Pig said. “That made me really, really sad when you said you wouldn’t collaborate with me.
“Why not? Don’t you like me?”
The shocked singer asks if the call was actually the current cartoon character, NBC News reported. Then she backtracked on her original comment, saying that she regretted it.
“First of all babes, Peppa, that ain’t the one of you that I know,” Adele said. “That’s not the same voice with the one I grew up with, with my son (Angelo).
“But Peppa, I’ve already said today that I regret it. I spent three years watching you, and any time you want to go jumping in muddy puddles and sing in muddy puddles -- I’m with you, babes.”
