HOUSTON — A Texas man who stole an ambulance was arrested Thursday in a fast food drive thru line with the emergency lights on, police said.
Houston police said the man jumped in and drove off in the ambulance while paramedics were on a call at an apartment complex near the fast-food restaurant, KHOU reported.
Investigators said Renaldo Dechaume Leonard, 36, was ordering food at a Jack in the Box restaurant when officers arrived, the Houston Chronicle reported.
He was taken into custody without incident. Leonard was arrested and charged with felony theft, the Chronicle reported. He was being held on $100,000 bond.
