WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ore. — A man was arrested on Sunday after he attempted to flee deputies in an excavator in Oregon, according to officials.
According to KPTV, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday pursued a slow-moving excavator on foot for about a half mile. Jesse B. Shaw allegedly had three warrants and was wanted for stealing a car.
WCSO said they located Shaw at a property north of Banks, Oregon driving the construction vehicle. They said he ignored commands and drove the excavator for about half a mile. He eventually stopped.
Deputies arrested Shaw for charges including eluding arrest, car theft and a parole violation, according to KPTV.
No further information has been released.
Deputies knew Jesse B. Shaw had three warrants and was wanted for stealing a car. They found him at a property north of Banks, driving this excavator and he ignored commands to surrender.
