Mail truck stolen along with packages, other mail

WASHINGTON — Are porch pirates branching out and skipping packages sitting in front of homes in favor of taking the entire mail truck?

Police in Washington, D.C., said someone took a full truck that had been parked in the Northwest part of the city around 5:30 p.m. Monday, The Washington Post reported.

The truck had about 400 packages, $300 in cash. a pair of AirPods and a wallet inside, the Post reported.

Police are trying to find not only the truck itself but also the mail it contained, WTOP reported.
