Grab the Aqua Net, and the teasing comb, 80s hairbands are going to have a resurgence thanks to Jake Bongiovi, who will be following in his famous father’s footsteps, sort of.

Bongiovi is the son of Bon Jovi’s frontman — Jon Bon Jovi.

Bongiovi has been tapped to star in “Rockbottom” a comedy that follows 1980s hair band CougarSnake, Variety reported.

The rock heir will play Justin, who could be the new lead singer of CougarSnake when it becomes famous in the present day, but stage fright could make his career go down in a “Blaze of Glory” before the band takes off, NJ.com reported.

The film will also feature McKaley Miller and Teala Dunn with Tom Everett Scott leading the cast, according to Variety.

Before “Rockbottom” hits the big screen, Bongiovi will appear in “Sweethearts,” a rom-com starring Kiernan Shipka and Nico Hiraga, The Asbury Park Press reported.

Sweethearts” is in post-production, but no release date has been set, according to IMDB.

Bongiovi has made a name for himself for his Instagram presence, on which he has 1.1 million followers and where he frequently shares posts of him with his girlfriend, Millie Bobby Brown from “Stranger Things,” according to the newspaper. Brown recently turned 19 with Bongiovi writing on Instagram, “Another year around the sun together happy 19th to the girl of my dreams. I love you more than words can describe. Everything about you is golden down to the core.”
