LOS ANGELES — “Jersey Shore” star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro is accused in a domestic violence incident, according to several media outlets.
The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to E! News and Us magazine that Ortiz-Magro, 35, was arrested Thursday in Los Angeles on charges of intimate partner violence with injury.
The MTV reality television show personality is on probation since a 2020 plea deal for a domestic violence case, NJ.com reported.
In May 2020, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office said Ortiz-Magro reached an agreement and pleaded no contest to one count of domestic battery and one count of resisting arrest in a case involving his former girlfriend, Jen Harley.
He was given 36 months of probation, E! News reported.
Ortiz-Magro and Harley have been arrested through the years after fights, NJ.com reported. Their exchanges have been chronicled on the “Jersey Shore” spinoff series, “Jersey Shore Family Vacation,” according to NJ.com.
“We have just learned of the new allegations against Ronnie and need some additional time to further investigate,” Ortiz-Magro’s lawyers, Scott E. Leemon and Leonard Levine, said in a statement. “As such, we will not be making any other statements at this time.”
Ortiz-Magro is currently dating Saffire Matos, who he met in February 2020, Us reported.
