NEW YORK — Police are searching for three people seen robbing a jewelry store on dramatic surveillance video, who made off with more than half a million dollars in jewelry.
The New York City Police Department released surveillance video from inside Cellini Jewelers, which shows three people breaking into the business early Saturday morning. The video shows the three breaking through the glass doors of the business using a sledgehammer.

The video shows the individuals using the sledgehammer and their hands to break into and destroy a number of displays throughout the store.
In a news release, police said that a full inventory of what was stolen is pending, but the estimated value of the items is over $500,000.
The suspects ran away from the scene, and police are hoping the video will lead to their identification, WNBC reported.
There were no injuries as a result of the robbery.
