A photo posted by comedian Gilbert Gottfried in the days following the death of comedian Louie Anderson in January is being shared on social media, following the announcement of Gottfried’s death on Tuesday at age 67.
The photo showed Gottfried, comedian Bob Saget and Anderson as the three were taking a selfie. Anderson died of cancer in January nearly two weeks after Saget hit his head in an Orlando hotel room and died.
“This photo is very sad now,” reads the caption of the Twitter post, dated Jan. 21. “RIP Bob Saget and RIP Louie Anderson. Both good friends that will be missed.”
At the time it was posted, some on Twitter warned that Gottfried was tempting fate by posting the photo.
The photo posted in January was the second photo Gottfried posted in the past six months remembering a friend who had died.
In September, he posted a photo of himself, Saget and comedians Jeff Ross and Norm MacDonald on the day MacDonald died of cancer.
“This photo was taken after I was a guest on Norm’s show. At dinner the laughs just continued nonstop. He will be missed.”
