President George W. Bush’s daughter, Barbara Bush, and her husband, Craig Coyne, welcomed their first child on Monday.

“With full hearts, Laura and I are delighted to announce the birth of our new granddaughter,” the 43rd president wrote Tuesday in a statement. “Barbara gave birth to Cora Georgia Coyne on September 27, 2021, in Maine — not far from our family home where Barbara and Craig were married.”

The former president added that “Cora is healthy and adorable, and we are proud and grateful.”

Barbara Bush, 39, married Craig Coyne, an actor and screenwriter, in a private ceremony at the Bush family compound in Kennebunkport.

Cora Coyne is the fourth grandchild for George Bush and his wife, Laura. Jenna Bush Hager, Barbara Bush’s twin sister, has three children: Mila, Poppy and Henry, according to the “Today” show.
