FORT MYERS, Fla. — A Florida woman was bitten by an alligator Thursday morning while she was trimming some trees by the edge of a lake, wildlife officials said.
The Florida Wildlife and Conservation Commission said a 27-year-old woman, who has not been identified, was bitten on both legs around 9 a.m. by a 10-foot, 4-inch alligator, the Fort Myers News-Press reported.
She is in stable condition after being taken to a hospital and treated for her injuries.
A wildlife trapper snared the reptile and took it to an alligator farm.
