MIAMI BEACH, Fla. — A shooting early Sunday in South Beach sent three people to the hospital, authorities said.
The incident occurred just after midnight along Ocean Drive, where a large crowd of partygoers was gathered for spring break, WTVJ reported.
Miami Beach police spokesman Ernesto Rodriguez told the Miami Herald that the three victims had non-life-threatening injuries. The circumstances that led to the shooting are under investigation.
A video posted on Instagram shows a chaotic scene, with people ducking for cover and then police with guns drawn responding to the incident.
According to the Miami Herald, it was the first incident of gun violence that resulted in injuries during the area’s spring break festivities.
