“When deputies arrived, they found a male suffering from stab wounds; he was pronounced dead on the scene,” according to a Leon County Sheriff’s Office report obtained by The Tallahassee Democrat.
Sheriff’s deputies later found 67-year-old Orlando Estrada-Cabrera nearby covered in blood. He admitted to the deputies that he stabbed the victim, according to WCTV.
Witnesses said it was an unprovoked attack and that the two men appeared not to know each other. A witness told WTXL that the victim had made a “disrespectful statement” about Estrada-Cabrera, which escalated into an argument.
Estrada-Cabrera was booked into the Leon County Detention Facility on a charge of murder without premeditation, according to court records obtained by The Tallahassee Democrat.
