BOCA RATON, Fla. — Workers conducted their first duck rescue of the year on Friday in South Florida.
According to a Facebook post by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, several ducklings fell through a drain grate in western Boca Raton.
The grate was spot welded in place and prevented the ducklings from escaping, WPEC-TV reported.
Rescue workers used the Jaws of Life to open the drain, the agency wrote on Facebook. A net was then used to dip into the drain and remove the ducklings.
“The ducklings and their mother were reunited and went on their merry way!” Palm Beach County Fire Rescue wrote on Facebook.
