DashPass for Students will cost $4.99 per month, DoorDash said. Those who purchase an annual plan will pay $48 for an additional savings over the monthly fee. Subscription perks include unlimited $0 delivery fees on eligible orders over the minimum subtotal, reduced service fees, 5% DoorDash credits back on eligible pickup orders, members-only promotions and DashPass exclusive menu items. Minimum subtotal thresholds are typically $12 for restaurants and $25 for groceries, according to The Verge.

All undergraduate and graduate students at accredited colleges and universities in the U.S. are eligible for the DashPass for Students membership. DoorDash says there is no penalty for canceling the subscription, which can be done online.

The plan for students is half the cost of the DashPass plan, according to Engadget.

According to The Verge, a recent survey found that 70% of college students use a delivery app at least once per week.
