Pembroke Pines Fire Rescue confirmed to WPLG that two people on board the plane died in the crash.

According to authorities, a northbound vehicle was struck by the falling plane, which also took out a power line as it crashed. An adult and child inside the vehicle were injured and transported to an area hospital.

The woman was hospitalized with traumatic injuries and the child died late Monday, WSVN reported.

Surveillance footage from a nearby home showed the plane coming down and hitting the car before slamming into the ground and erupting in flames, WTVJ reported.

“We heard a tremendous noise, and we went out, and everybody was on fire. Everything was bad,” Annabelle Fernandez told the TV station.

“It got to the car. It was a mother with her kid, and we don’t know what happened to them. The fire rescue came, and they got them,” Fernandez added.

Both the FAA and National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the crash.

According to WPLG, this is the latest in a string of five crashes in the area since 2020.
